This Danny's Fidelity High: The Kinks // Lola Versus Powerman and the Moneygoround, Part One // Pye // 1970. Danny says, "This is a record with a song on it everyone could never hear again, yet it's such a great complete album that I never skip it. A music industry social commentary that opens with such a melodic country acoustic singsong and then transitions into one of the sweetest guitar licks going into Contenders. I've listened to this record so many times over the years. It was my first Kinks record and it has taught me that a complete record can be a hodgepodge of tracks that might not work in another context, but somehow works seamlessly given the right circumstances."
