Mike Montali is the frontman of the Queens, NY-based roots rock band Hollis Brown. The band's latest vinyl EP Cluster of Pearls was released by Alive Naturalsound Records for Record Store Day last year. The EP follows their third album 3 Shots, which features "Highway 1", a duet with the acclaimed outlaw country songstress Nikki Lane. The album also featured "Rain Dance," a unique collaboration with Bo Diddley, with the band building a new song around a previously unreleased rhythm track created by the late music legend in his home studio. Known for their high adrenaline live performances, Hollis Brown have toured America and Europe, sharing stages with The Zombies, Heartless Bastards, Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes, Jesse Malin, as well as supporting Counting Crows and Citizen Cope on a 40 plus date amphitheater tour. This is Mike's Fidelity High: David Bowie // The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars // 1972. Mike says, "This album is perfect! The songwriting, the sound, the energy, the spirit. It is not only a top 5 personal album for me, but I found this record in my Uncle Mario's collection from when he was a kid. It is a special one. This is one of the first records that bonded us as a band when we started playing together and still gets A LOT of play on the tour bus! Love It!"
