Neal is currently on the road with the Chris Robinson Brotherhood in support of their new album Barefoot In The Head. This is Neal Casal's Fidelity High: Steve Young // Rock Salt and Nails // A&M Records // 1969. Neal says, "'Rock Salt And Nails' is one of the greatest unsung folk/country/rock/singer songwriter records of all time. Recorded in 1969 with legendary musicians James Burton, Hal Blaine, Gene Clark, and even Gram Parsons on keyboards. Deeply mystical and beautiful, it’s a far away sound from such a far away place. High and lonesome singing, sparse arrangements, haunting strings. This album contains the original and definitive version of 'Seven Bridges Road.' one of the greatest songs of southern imagery ever put to tape. His chilling reading of Peter LaFarge’s 'Coyote' brings me to my knees every time. If any album begs for a proper reissue, it’s this one."
