Musician, Margot & The Nuclear So and So's
Richard Edwards is the critically acclaimed frontman and principal songwriter for the Indianapolis-based band Margot & The Nuclear So and So's. Since 2005's The Dust of Retreat, Richard has released five studio albums and many more EPs and singles. In late 2015, Joyful Noise Recordings issued The Bride On The Boxcar - A Decade Of Margot Rarities: 2004-2014. The five-LP box set collection consists of 58 unreleased tracks sequenced to mirror Margot's studio releases along with a bound book featuring essays, photos and artwork from their first 10 years as a band. Richard Edwards is currently working on his next record in Los Angeles with producer (and Fidelity High participant) Rob Schnapf. This is Richard's Fidelity High: Chuck Jackson // Any Day Now // Wand Records // 1962. Richard says, "I got real into this record a couple years ago. Is it my favorite record? I don't know. His voice. That dang voice. Is it the best voice? I don't know. I think it is. There's lotsa heartbreak in it, but even more defiance. Break Chuck Jackson's heart at your peril. As Joan Baez said of Dylan, writing 'When The Ship Comes In' after being denied a hotel room, 'I could see Bob hanging them all.' I always look for music that sounds like a woman or man hanging them all. Chuck hangs 'em all."
