Sam Anderson

Musician, Quaker City Night Hawks

Sam Anderson is the co-frontman and guitarist of the Ft. Worth, TX-based band The Quaker City Night Hawks.  They were named "Best Band of 2015" by the Dallas Observer and released their acclaimed Lightning Rod Records debut El Astronauta last year.  Their songs have been heard on the FX smash series Sons of Anarchy and have shared stages with Chris Stapleton, Lucero, J Roddy Walston and more.  A must-see live act, The Quaker City Night Hawks kick off their tour supporting The Cadillac Three next week. This is Sam's Fidelity High: Carole King // Tapestry // Ode Records // 1971.  Sam says, "This is the first music I can remember hearing that brought so many of my favorite things into the same songs.  Tapestry had the parts of R&B that I loved intertwined with Rock 'n' Roll and was strung together with what is as close to perfect songwriting as anyone could ever hope to come.  Carole King just did everything for me on this one.  No stone left unturned.  Must have purchased this one ten times over."
