Brooklyn's Sam Kogon released his latest album "Psychic Tears" on October 28th via Beyond Beyond is Beyond Records. The album was produced by Sam Evian and features the great Greta Kline of Frankie Cosmos on the duet "I Was Always Talking." Sam also sang lead vocals in the 2015 lineup of The Left Banke and has appeared with Al Jardine of the Beach Boys as well. He begins his tour in support of "Psychic Tears" this evening at Baby's All Right in Brooklyn, NY and this is Sam Kogon's Fidelity High: Raspberries // Raspberries // Capitol Records // 1972. Sam says, "I got into the Raspberries in 10th grade. This is their first (and best) record. Sure, It's got their biggest hit "Go All The Way", but it's the quiet moments that I love... I am obsessed with the Dickensian-Christmas-carol-esque song, "Waiting." Eric Carmen is a versatile songwriter. He's a rocker when he wants to be, but he can just as easily knock out baroque pop hits till the cows come home. 5 stars for marketing on this one, as the album came with a scratch-and-sniff sticker on the front cover. Mine smells overwhelmingly like a basement with a hint of raspberry."
