Haley Grant and Kaylee Jasperson

Musicians, The Harmaleighs

Haley Grant and Kaylee Jasperson make up the Nashville-based indie pop duo The Harmaleighs.  Upon releasing their 2015 debut LP Pretty Picture, Dirty Brush, the pair moved all of their possessions into storage, outfitted a van with a bed, and hit the road in support of the record over the next year.  Their experiences lead them to the creation of their brand new Hiraeth EP, whose title is a Welsh word with no direct English translation that represents the rootlessness, homesickness and longing the pair experienced while on the road.  East of 8th says "The Harmaleighs make that spine-tingling, ethereally potent kind of music that gets embedded in the brain for the long haul, but that never wears out its welcome."  The Harmaleighs will be on tour throughout the summer and this is their Fidelity High:  Lucius // Wildewoman // Mom + Pop // 2013.  The Harmaleighs say, "Wildewoman by Lucius taught us to love music again.  We went through a phase where we really weren't listening to anything, it was strange.  Wildewoman snapped us both out of that musical drought.  The lyrics are incredible (typically the first thing I listen to).  The sound they captured was completely unique to our ears.  It's a sonic wonderland.  We can spin this bad boy 10 times in a row, ready for number 11."
